The Fortuna Police Department K-9 Unit began in 2006.  Our K-9 "Zorro" is cross-trained in tracking, officer protection, and drug detection. Our K-9 Team is highly trained including weekly training at our Department, monthly training with K-9 Teams from other jurisdictions.
