Small and Home-Based Business Marketplace
FBID and the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce worked together through the MOU to bring the Business Marketplace to the Fortuna River Lodge on March 18, 2023 from 10am-3pm. The marketplace provides small businesses, of five employees or less, and home-based businesses, the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public. Fortuna businesses that are not applying as vendors feel free to attend as a consumer to support our community, it is free to the public to come and shop and meet the vendors. There will be door prizes handed out every hour (must be present to win).

The Fortuna Garden Club's Daffodil Show
The annual Daffodil Show is held in March at the Fortuna River Lodge. It is on March 25th-26th this year and is one of only three in the entire state. Al Gray Lighted Parade
A great big Thank you to the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, Renee Lindsay, for putting on the Al Gray Lighted Parade in Fortuna on December 8th. There were 32 entries in the parade that caravanned from the Redwood Village Shopping Center and parked Downtown for the award ceremony. The winners of each category were given prizes and trophies and each entry is thanked for bringing joy to our community. We look forward to planning for all the entries in 2023 and continuing a wonderful tradition!

Holiday Kid's Free Movie
There were 800 tickets handed out to 20 Fortuna businesses for kids to receive free admission to the Fortuna Movie Theater to view Minions: The Rise of Gru on December 9, 2022. There were eight volunteers that assisted with the flow of ensuring children received a toy, popcorn and soda and made their way into one of the six screens projecting the film. The Fortuna Chamber of Commerce also made this event possible for our community, as well as theater staff, so thank you!
Shop Fortuna for the Holidays
The Fortuna Chamber of Commerce held this event to support Fortuna businesses from November 25-December 26, 2022. Participants submitted receipts from Fortuna business purchases and for every $200 spent an entry was submitted with their name. There were three cash prices available to win. Thank you to the Chamber for hosting the event and thank you to every participant that kept revenues local.
CCC Holiday Bags
The Fortuna Chamber of Commerce purchased and received donated items for the members of the California Conservation Corps, which they put in holiday bags and delivered to the recipients. The bags included necessary items, such as socks, toiletries, writing tools, and had fun items as well to include candy, ramen noodles, and hot chocolate. The donations are appreciated, as are the volunteers that packed the bags.
Fortuna Garden Club's Christmas Home Tour
The Fortuna Garden Club held their annual Christmas Home Tour on December 14th, 2022, which featured three homes in the local area open to the public to tour. The Club also had drinks and deserts at the Fortuna Monday Club where they also held an auction of 90 items. The Fortuna Monday Club was beautifully decorated with trees and garland throughout to create a warm and welcoming environment with music playing in the background.
