Animal Control

In addition to enforcement duties, Animal Control Officers are responsible for:
- Responding and patrolling the City of Fortuna for strays or loose animals
- Providing a listing of lost and found pets
- Responding to reports of animal neglect and abuse
- Maintaining the City of Fortuna dog licensing database
Animal Licensing & Fees
StaffThe Fortuna Animal Control Services operates out of the of the Police Department. The unit consists of Non-Sworn employees that receive specialty training in a variety of domestic and non-domestic animal control and management techniques.
